What is the All-on-4 System?
The All-on-4 system is a permanent denture option that utilizes permanent dental implants to secure your new dentures rather than the traditional version, which sits atop the gums using adhesive or glue. This means that your options for food and drink are unlimited once more, and your mouth will remain healthy as ever with proper oral hygiene care. This is a surgical procedure, but the results are worth it for the long haul, and more affordable, as they won't have to be replaced as often (if at all) and you will not have to pay nearly as much for upkeep as you may spend with a more traditional approach.
What is the All-on-4 Process Like?
All-on-4 dentures are in many ways similar to traditional dentures in appearance, minus a more natural look and feel. However, this option is surgically improved whereas regular old standard dentures are not nearly as advanced. The All-on-4 process begins with a diagnostic appointment where our dentists determine if it is the best course of action for you. If you have significant tooth loss or your bone loss inhibits you from being able to get standard implants, this may be a great alternative.
Then, four titanium implants are installed into your jaw, angled away from your bite-plate. We use titanium because it reacts much better with the bone in your jaw and minimizes the chances of rejection. These implants will over time fuse with your jaw. These will act as the “root” of your new false teeth, stimulating the bone growth of your jaw and providing remarkable stability. Then, these four implants are then used to secure a full set of dentures, allowing for both permanence and comfort that regular dentures cannot provide.
